
In the third and last ODI match of the three-match series, Bangladesh’s batsmen did not allow Afghanistan to take advantage. Afghans were bowled out for just 126 runs after losing all one. The host Bangladesh will come down to bat in no time.
Afghan team leader Hasmatullah Shahidi won the toss and decided to bat at the beginning of the match at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. However, Afghanistan did not start well after losing the toss and batting. The visitors lost the first four batters in the first ten overs on the bowling of Shariful-Taskin.
Ibrahim Zadran 1, Rahmat Shah 0, Rahmanullah Gurbaz 6 and Mohammad Nabi 1 run out. Najibullah Zadran and party leader Hasmatullah Shahidi tried to keep the team under pressure. But they could not facilitate. Zadran scored 10 runs before being dismissed by Shakib Al Hasan. Shahidi scored 22 runs.
Even though wickets continued to fall, Afghan bowling all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai continued to score runs at the crease. Picked up a personal half century. On that occasion, Afghanistan has crossed one hundred. Omarzai was dismissed for 56 runs. Besides, Abdul Rahman 4, Ziaur Rahman 5 and Mujib ur Rahman scored 11 runs.
Shariful Islam took maximum four wickets for Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam took two wickets each. Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan Miraj got one wicket each.
