Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 3 wickets, the hope of Champions Trophy remained alive

Despite the failure of the two openers, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by three wickets thanks to the excellent batting of Shakib Al Hasan and Nazmul Hossain Shanta. The Tigers’ hopes of playing in the Champions Trophy remained alive as a result of this win.

Dilshana Madhushanka took 3 wickets for Sri Lanka. Besides, Mahesh took two wickets and Angela Mathews took two wickets. Meanwhile, Mathews dismissed Shakib, who was involved in a conflict with a timed out.

Earlier, the Lankans gave Bangladesh a target of 280 runs after losing the toss and batting with Charith Asalanka’s century. After losing the toss and batting against Bangladesh, the Lankans lost their first wicket for just 5 runs. After that, the Lankans lost wickets against regularity. They lost 4 wickets for 135 runs. After that, Angelo Mathews returned after suffering a timed out on Shakib’s request. Charith Asalanka took the lead of the team after 5 wickets for 135 runs. He scored a century against Bangladesh today. Based on his century, the Lankans were all out for 279 runs.
