Bangladesh collected 246 runs in three fifties

In the third and final one-day match of the series in Mirpur, the host Bangladesh scored 246 runs in the allotted 48.5 overs in Shanto-Mushfiqur-Shaqib’s fifty. As a result, visiting England needed 247 runs to win.

At the beginning of the match in Chittagong, Tiger team leader Tamim Iqbal Khan decided to bat after winning the toss. But Bangladesh did not start well with the bat. Liton Kumar Das returned to Sajghar on the fifth ball of the first over of the innings. Tamim Iqbal was dismissed for 11 runs in the third over. English pacer Sam Curran took both wickets.

Bangladesh lost two wickets in the end and became a bit disoriented. Then Mushfiqur Rahim and Nazmul Hossain Shanto handled the pressure in the third wicket pair. Both picked up half-centuries. The pair made 98 runs. Then at one point he moved from on strike to strike edge to take a single. Shant could not reach even if he ran later. He got out for 53 runs off 71 balls.

Meanwhile, Mushfiqur was playing brilliantly with Shakib. But he could not last long. As Adil Rashid did, Mushi batted in an aggressive manner. But he was bowled if there was no contact between the ball and the bat. He scored 71 runs off 93 balls. Mahmudullah Riyad scored 8 runs off 9 balls in the next wicket.

Meanwhile, Shakib made a partnership of 49 runs with Afif in the sixth wicket. Afif returned with 15 runs. Miraj was out for 5 runs and Taijul was out for 2 runs. Meanwhile, Shakib, who was playing at Apantal, picked up a personal half-century. He scored 75 runs before getting out in the 49th over. Mustafiz returned with zero runs. Ibadat remains unbeaten by 1 run.
