Bangladesh collected 175 runs for 5 wickets on the first day

On the first day of the second Test of the three-match series, Bangladesh ‘A’ team could not make much use of the bat. On the first day of the match held in Sylhet, the 9 welcomers scored only 175 runs, losing 5 wickets. The Tigers will come out to bat again on Wednesday in the second day’s play.

At the beginning of the match, West Indies team leader Joshua De Silva invited Bangladesh to go after winning the toss. Opener Zaker Ali got out with 18 runs off 13 balls. Another opener Sadman Islam retired heart and left the field for 11 runs off 36 balls.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Naeem Sheikh came down to bat for the second wicket and scored only 5 runs. 31 runs from the bat of Saif Hasan. Afif Hossain scored 37 runs off 34 balls. And wicketkeeper batsman Irfan Sukkur was out for 21 runs off 33 balls.

Then Shahadat Hossain and Naeem Islam ended the day together. Shahadat is unbeaten on 28 runs from 77 balls. And Naeem remains unbeaten on 12 runs off 20 balls.

Akem Jordan and Kevin Sinclair took maximum two wickets each for West Indies. Anderson Phillips also got a wicket.
