Bangladesh ‘A’ team lost to Windies by 3 wickets

In the first Test of the three-match series, Bangladesh ‘A’ team managed to avoid defeat against the West Indies. But it was not possible to do that in the second match. Afif Hossain lost this time. The West Indies ‘A’ team lost to the hosts by 3 wickets in the second Test of the series in Sylhet.

At the start of the match, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 237 runs in their first innings. In reply, the visitors got a lead of 108 runs when they stopped at 345 runs. The Tigers lost 6 wickets and collected 274 runs at the end of the third day in their second innings.

Irfan Sukkur and Naeem Hasan, two unbeaten batsmen of the previous day, came to bat today in the fourth and last day’s game. Naeem returned to the dressing room at the beginning of the day. Tanjim Hasan Shakib took the next wicket with 5 runs off just 7 balls. And half-centurion Irfan Sukkur scored 72 runs before getting out. Khaled could not open the account of runs. Meanwhile, Tanveer remained unbeaten on zero runs.

As a result, Bangladesh stopped at 297 runs after losing all the wickets. And West Indies got a target of 190 runs to win.

West Indies did not get off to a good start chasing runs. One wicket after another. Bangladesh dreams of winning by picking up 5 wickets for just 70 runs. But West Indies ‘A’ team confirmed the victory with Brendon King and Joshua de Silver. Brendan King scored the highest 54 runs. De Silva also scored 47 runs.

Tiger spinner Tanveer Islam took maximum four wickets for Bangladesh. Apart from this, Saif Hasan got two wickets and Naeem Hasan got one wicket.
