Australia gave England a target of 287 runs

In their sixth match in the World Cup, Australia lost the toss and were bowled out for 286 runs. England need 287 runs to win.

Ajira lost the toss and lost the first wicket for just 11 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Travis Head returned with 11 runs from 10 balls after falling victim to Chris Woakes.

David Warner also followed the path of Travis Head. He returned to be the second victim of Chris Woakes for the team’s 38 runs.

After 2 wickets for 38 runs, Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschenne formed a partnership. This pair was broken when Steven Smith returned for 44 runs after raising hopes of a half-century.

Josh Inglis also followed the path of Steven Smith. He returned with just 3 runs off 6 balls after falling victim to Adil Rashid.

After 4 wickets for 117 runs, Marnus Labuchen formed a partnership with Cameron Green. 61 runs came from this pair. After scoring 71 runs off 83 balls, Adil Rashid’s ball got LBW and this pair was broken.

Marnus Labuchen was followed by half-century hopeful Cameron Green. He returned after scoring 47 runs off 52 balls. In the end Ajira was all out for 286 runs in 49 overs 3 balls.
