Australia defeated India on Indian soil to win the sixth World Cup title

Australia finally brought down India, who were flying in the World Cup held at home. Ajira completed their hexa mission by defeating India on Indian soil. In the 13th final of the ICC ODI World Cup, Travis Head’s century and Marnus Labuchen’s half-century helped Australia beat India by a huge margin of 6 wickets to win their sixth World Cup title.

As the saying goes, the end is good to whom everything is good. In the case of India, it seems that the word has been completely matched. In the 2023 World Cup, India entered the final after being undefeated in 10 matches, including 9 matches of the group stage and the semi-finals. But they lost when they reached the final. The Aussie batsmen went on a rampage from the start chasing India’s target. He took 15 runs in the first over. But in the next over, the rhythm fell.

Mohammed Shami bowls David Warner for 7 runs off 3 balls. He returned by handing the catch to Virat Kohli at slip off Mohammad Shamir. On his departure, Australia broke the opening pair by 16 runs.

In the end Ajira won by losing 4 wickets in 43 overs. Travis Head scored 137 runs off 120 balls and Marnus Labuchen remained unbeaten on 58 runs.

Earlier, India lost the toss against Ajid and lost the first wicket for just 30 runs. After that, India kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul picked up half-centuries but other batsmen were unsuccessful. Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah could not reach double figures. Suryakumar Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav scored 12 runs in the ninth wicket pair and Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Siraj scored 14 runs in the tenth wicket.
