Bad news: Apple TV+ and other apple services increase in price in Spain. Those from Cupertino have confirmed the increase, which will impact new subscribers from today. For their part, those who already have an account will begin to pay the new values from their next billing date.
In addition to the movie and series streaming service, the price increase will reach Apple Arcade and Apple One plans. For now, there will be no changes to subscriptions to Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and iCloud.
In Spain, Apple TV+ will go from 6.99 euros to 9.99 euros monthly. The change, in fact, is already reflected on the service’s website. The new increase comes almost exactly one year after the most recent adjustment, which occurred in October 2022. By then, the price had gone from 4.99 to 6.99 euros.
The new Apple TV+ subscription value represents an increase of 42.92%. But the most shocking thing is that the price has doubled, if we consider the almost 5 euros it cost a year ago. A truly notable jump.
Apple Arcade and Apple One follow in the footsteps of Apple TV+
As we previously indicated, Apple TV+ is not the only Apple service that is becoming more expensive in Spain from today. Apple Arcadethe Cupertino gaming platform, goes from 4.99 to 6.99 euros per month.
For their part, the three Apple One plans suffer the same fate. This is how the price changes are reflected in the subscription that groups multiple services under a single monthly payment:
AppleOne | Previous price | new price |
Individual Plan (Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music and iCloud with 50 GB of storage). | 16.95 euros per month | 19.95 euros per month |
Family plan (Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music and iCloud with 200 GB of storage). | 22.95 euros per month. | 25.95 euros per month. |
Premium Plan (Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and iCloud with 2 TB of storage). | 31.95 euros per month. | 35.95 euros per month. |
Let us remember that, like Apple TV+ and Apple Music, Apple One had already suffered a significant price increase in October of last year. And although today Apple did not make formal announcements before applying the new values, it did confirm the measure through a statement sent to the press.
“We are focused on providing the best possible experiences to our customers, constantly adding high-quality entertainment, content and innovative features to our services,” said those from Cupertino.
Apple mentioned that the change Affects subscribers in the United States and “select international markets”, without specifying much more. In any case, as we previously indicated, the new prices are already reflected on the websites of the impacted countries.
It is curious that this time Apple has decided not to change the price of Apple Music, iCloud and Apple Fitness+. However, we must not rule out that this could occur in the coming months. It is worth mentioning that, in addition to Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple One, the apple They have also updated the price of News+ in the US. The news service now costs $12.99 per month, up from $9.99. It is the first increase that this product has suffered since it was launched in 2019.
