Alonso will start 17th and Sainz 4th in the US GP

Charles Leclerc has achieved his third pole of the season – the 21st of his career in Formula 1 – and on Sunday he will open the grid for the United States Grand Prix, the eighteenth round of the 2023 calendar. Carlos Sainz has closed qualifying in fourth position , while Fernando Alonso has fallen for the first time this season in Q1.
