In the presidential elections held on 14 May, the presidential election was left to the 2nd round due to the fact that the candidates could not reach enough votes. Therefore, President Erdoğan and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will face each other again on 28 May at the ballot box.

AK Party Deputy Chairman, Head of Election Affairs and Sakarya Deputy Ali İhsan Yavuz made statements to TV100 Ankara Representative Deniz Gürel regarding the 14 May election and the presidential election, which went to the second round.
