Before the second round of presidential elections to be held on Sunday, it was eagerly awaited which candidate Sinan Ogan, the presidential candidate of the ATA Alliance, would support. Ogan announced at the press conference that he supported Erdogan. Then, yesterday, the President of the Victory Party Ümit Özdağ made a statement of support for Kılıçdaroğlu. This situation disturbed HDP and Green Left Party, which supported the Nation Alliance from outside.
THEY MADE AN EXPLANATION: WE ARE COMFORTABLE
In the statement made by HDP regarding the agreement signed between Özdağ and Kılıçdaroğlu, “Especially election law and trustee policies that destroy the will of the people and local democracy are at the forefront of these practices. Appointments of trustees who usurp the will of the people are unacceptable in terms of democracy and law, and our approach on this issue is unchanging. “The determinations regarding this issue in the protocol announced by Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu today are contrary to universal democratic principles. Our stance and criticism are clear and open. The practices of trustees are not only a problem of Diyarbakır, but of Istanbul as a whole and all of us.”
EYES EXPLAIN WHAT TO DO TODAY
After this statement, the HDP and Green Left Party’s attitude towards the elections to be held on Sunday is a matter of curiosity.
