Afghanistan lost 2 wickets for 27 runs

Batting for 289 given by New Zealand, Afghanistan lost 2 wickets for 27 runs after making history in the previous match against current champions England.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran could not take their opening pair far for Afghanistan today. This pair was broken by Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s departure for the team’s 27 runs.

Gurbaz scored 11 runs off 21 balls and went to the pavilion after falling victim to Matt Henry. On his departure, the Afghans broke the opening pair by 27 runs.

Ibrahim Zadran returned to Sajghar after 1 ball of Gurbaz’s dismissal. He returned with 14 runs off 15 balls after being caught by Mitchell Santner off Trent Boult. On his departure, Afghans lost 2 wickets for 27 runs.
