£50m air defense aid from UK to Ukraine

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski, 50 million pounds of aid will be provided to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.

A statement from the British Prime Minister’s Press Office said: “Altar met with President Zelenski. He confirmed that the UK will provide a major new air defense package to help protect Ukrainian civilians and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks. The £50m air defense aid package, It includes 125 anti-aircraft weapons and technologies that counter deadly Iranian-supplied drones, including dozens of radar and drone electronic warfare capabilities.


Expressing that Britain has stood by Ukraine since the first day of the war and is proud of this stance, Sunak said, “I am proud that Britain stood by Ukraine from the very beginning. Today, the United Kingdom and our allies are fighting this barbaric war. “I am here to say that we will continue to stand by Ukraine as it fights to end and achieve a just peace.”
