50 runs for Afghans in the first power play after overcoming the initial shock

After losing the first wicket for zero runs after going into bat with a target of 242 runs given by Sri Lanka, Afghanistan picked up 50 runs in the first power play after overcoming the initial shock in the pair of Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah.

Chasing the target of 242 runs given by the Lankans, the Afghans lost their wicket in the first over. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was bowled by Dilshan Madushankar on the fourth ball of the innings. On his departure, the Afghans lost their first wicket for zero runs.

After losing the first wicket for zero runs, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah formed a partnership. The Afghans scored 50 runs in the first power play based on this pair.

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 241 runs by the Afghan bowlers. Now Afghanistan is batting with a target of 242 runs to win.
